Lili
Taking place in the 1960s, "Lili" is a romantic drama centered around two ambitious music students battling each other to win one prestigious composing prize. "Lili" pays tribute to the trailblazing composer Lili Boulanger, the first woman to win France's most prestigious music prize, the Prix du Rome. The film examines what it means to be an artist in a world that's not ready for you, the turmoil of competing in a male-dominated field, and the complex emotions of falling for a rival.
