Biography
Hikari Yono (よの ひかり, Yono Hikari, October 8, 1974 - November 15, 2020) was a Japanese voice actress and narrator born in Shirakawa, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. Hikari Yono was a graduate of Nihon University College of Art. After working at the TV narration school "School Birds", she was affiliated with Mausu Promotion and B-Box. After that, she worked as a freelancer. She also was a narrator and was involved in dubs of foreign films and TV through the project Boar Butterfly. Her roles in anime included Samui in Naruto: Shippuuden, Kaolinite in Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Crystal Season III, and Yoshino Uehara in Gantz. From early spring of 2020, she became ill and took a rest from work. On November 20 of the same year, Yono's Twitter was updated by her family, and it was reported that she had passed away on the 15th of the same month while she was being treated for illness. A message from the bereaved family was released by the manager of the Velvet Office participating in the Boar Butterfly project, revealing that she was being treated for cancer.
