Biography
John O'Mahoney is Freelance actor with four decades performance experience from village halls to Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, Shakespeare's Globe, the Old Vic, Regional Reps and London's West End. Tours regularly both nationally in the UK and Ireland and internationally (including the Gasteig, Munich and Megaron Athens) working with a wide range of directors, companies and shows. Big loves: New writing, Shakespeare and his contemporaries, the Greeks, music -theatre. Founder of The Hungry Grass, a project company devoted to creating and touring incisive new writing and the exploration of music-theatre form. It's first production PORK BELLIES was described as "one of the best pieces of theatre seen on the small-scale-circuit for a number of years" (Brighton Festival).
