Seth, a proud gay man, is invaded by his uptight, homophobic sister, Amanda. She just shows up on his doorstep (with luggage) for the first time in 20 years after catching her husband having an affair with her best friend, Katherine.

Seth and Amanda fall quickly back into the pattern of quarreling siblings as Amanda takes over his bedroom. It seems to Seth that Amanda is way more upset about her "best friend" Katherine cheating on her than her husband.
