Gargoyles

In Scotland, 994 A.D. Goliath and his clan of gargoyles defend a medieval castle. In present day, David Xanatos buys the castle and moves it to New York City. When the castle is attacked the gargoyles are awakened from a 1000 year curse.

1. Awakening (1)

Air Date: 1994-10-24

In 994, a band of Vikings attack castle Wyvern in Scotland, but are driven back by the gargoyles protecting it. While retreating, they vow revenge... and someone in the castle may just want to help them with that.

2. Awakening (2)

Air Date: 1994-10-25

Goliath returns to the castle to find all but a handful of his clan destroyed, and the humans abducted. The gargoyles defeat the Vikings and rescue the captives, but a tragic misunderstanding leaves them cursed to remain stone statues day and night... until a rich 20th century businessman takes an interest in them.

3. Awakening (3)

Air Date: 1994-10-26

Not satisfied with Xanatos's explanation for the strange happenings around his tower, Detective Maza decides to take a look around the castle by herself. Xanatos wants the Gargoyles help in retrieving some stolen data.

4. Awakening (4)

Air Date: 1994-10-27

Elisa and Goliath are ambushed in the park by a group of commandos. They try to escape, but dawn comes and Goliath turns to stone, leaving Elisa having to lead the pursuers away alone. Upon Goliath's return to the castle, Xanatos reunites him with an old 'friend'. The Gargoyles accept to help Xanatos retrieve his stolen disks from Cyberbiotics.

5. Awakening (5)

Air Date: 1994-10-28

The Gargoyles attack the data storage facilities, and when they return successful, Xanatos decides they've outlived their usefulness.

6. The Thrill of the Hunt

Air Date: 1994-11-04

A group of TV show fighters called The Pack appears and seems more than a match for all of the gargoyles.

7. Temptation

Air Date: 1994-11-11

Demona convinces Brooklyn that humans and gargoyles can never live together, and asks him to help her show Goliath the same.

8. Deadly Force

Air Date: 1994-11-18

Broadway accidentally shoots Elisa with her gun. Wracked with guilt, he takes her to the hospital and then goes off on his own to take his frustration out on an criminal he can find. When the others hear, they assume it was the work of a gangster Elisa was investigating, and set out to take him down - permanently.

9. Enter MacBeth

Air Date: 1995-01-06

As Xanatos is about to get out of prison, he wonders what to do about the Gargoyles. As luck would have it, he is contacted by a stranger calling himself MacBeth who offers to take the creatures off his hands.

10. The Edge

Air Date: 1995-01-13

Xanatos donates a jewel - the Eye of Odin - to the city's museum. Then he has one of his robot gargoyles steal it back, framing Goliath.

11. Long Way to Morning

Air Date: 1995-01-20

Demona forces Goliath into a confrontation, wounding him badly and leaving Hudson to protect him until dawn... A situation that reminds the old gargoyle of a mission he led over a millennia ago to recover a book of spells from the Archmage necessary to save the poisoned Prince.

12. Her Brother's Keeper

Air Date: 1995-01-27

Xanatos offers Elisa's brother a job as pilot and bodyguard, and he certainly gets his money's worth when Jackal and Hyena are ordered to assassinate him.

13. Reawakening

Air Date: 1995-02-03

Concluding that science and sorcery alone are not enough to stop the gargoyles, Demona and Xanatos try to combine them. Employing a mixture of rubble from gargoyles destroyed at Castle Wyvern in 994 AD and Xanatos' cybernetics, they create and awaken Coldstone.

1. Leader of the Pack

Air Date: 1995-09-04

A mysterious masked man, who calls himself Coyote, breaks The Pack out of prison. He appoints himself leader and lead The Pack to set a trap for the gargoyles. Lexington's anger towards The Pack blinds his judgment, putting himself and the clan at risk.

2. Metamorphosis

Air Date: 1995-09-05

Someone is taking people off the street and turning them into gargoyle-like creatures. Unsurprisingly, the trail leads to leads to one of Xanatos's labs and the noted geneticist, Anton Sevarius.

3. Legion

Air Date: 1995-09-06

Coldstone reawakens, but a computer virus leaves him confused and in danger of his mind collapsing permanently.

4. A Lighthouse in the Sea of Time

Air Date: 1995-09-07

An archeological dig uncovers a set of scrolls, believed to contain Merlin's spells. Macbeth sends his mercenaries to try to capture the scrolls, but the gargoyles manage to stop them, getting separated from Hudson and Broadway in the process, both having one of the two scroll containers.

5. The Mirror

Air Date: 1995-09-11

Demona steals a magical mirror to summon an elf named Puck. She forces him to use his magic against Goliath and the humans. However, the result is not quite what she had in mind...

6. The Silver Falcon

Air Date: 1995-09-12

Matt Bluestone disappears while looking into his pet obsession - the Illuminati. When Elisa investigates, Broadway insists on tagging along.

7. Eye of the Beholder

Air Date: 1995-09-13

Xanatos proposes to Fox, giving her the Eye of Odin as an engagement present. Soon afterwards, a huge lupine creature appears throughout the city, devastating everything in it's path.

8. Vows

Air Date: 1995-09-14

Xanatos and Fox are getting married, and the groom asks Goliath to be his best man. Unsurprisingly, it turns out to be another of Xanatos's schemes, this time to obtain an piece of an artifact Goliath has - the Phoenix Gate, capable of opening doorways through time.

9. City of Stone (1)

Air Date: 1995-09-18

While Demona prepares to cast a spell on the entire city through a pirate TV broadcast, she remembers her life after Goliath and the others had been turned to stone by the Magus.

10. City of Stone (2)

Air Date: 1995-09-19

The gargoyles awaken to find nearly all of New York City's denizens turned to stone. A millennium before, a young man named Macbeth must decide how much he's willing to sacrifice for love.

11. City of Stone (3)

Air Date: 1995-09-20

While Xanatos works to break the spell, the story of Macbeth continues, as the lord must take up arms against his brother when the Weird Sisters foretell his ascension to the throne of Scotland.

12. City of Stone (4)

Air Date: 1995-09-21

The plan to end the spell is sent into motion, but Demona makes preparations to stop it. In the past, MacBeth must decide if his alliance with the gargoyles is worth a war with England.

13. High Noon

Air Date: 1995-09-25

Macbeth and Demona work together, stealing Coldstone to use as bait to trap the gargoyles. Elisa must face Demona alone to save the clan.

14. Outfoxed

Air Date: 1995-09-28

Cyberbiotics launches a new air fortress, and suspecting Xanatos might try something, Goliath follows it closely. But the owner is waiting for him, wanting revenge for the destruction of the previous craft.

15. The Price

Air Date: 1995-10-12

Macbeth throws a magic powder at Hudson, and the next night, the old gargoyle remains stone at sundown...

16. Revelations

Air Date: 1995-10-26

Matt's investigations bring him in contact with the Illuminati, and he is offered membership... If he can get them a gargoyle.

17. Double Jeopardy

Air Date: 1995-11-06

A new gargoyle mysteriously appears... He sounds like Goliath... he looks like Goliath... and tries to force Elisa's car off the road...

18. Upgrade

Air Date: 1995-11-09

After the Pack is defeated yet again, Xanatos offers them new and improved cybernetic/gene-spliced bodies.

19. Protection

Air Date: 1995-11-13

Dracon is surprised to find someone encroaching on his protection racket... a cop - Elisa Maza.

20. The Cage

Air Date: 1995-11-16

The Mutates, burning for revenge against the clan, return. Goliath decides to take strong measures and find a cure for them, all with the unwilling aid of Dr. Sevarius.

21. Avalon (1)

Air Date: 1995-11-20

Tommy, the boy Goliath and his clan befriended 1000 years ago, arrives in Manhattan. He needs help in Avalon. Goliath, Elisa, and Bronx go with him to help and see what happened to the Gargoyle eggs.

22. Avalon (2)

Air Date: 1995-11-21

Goliath and Elisa meet with Katherine and the Mage. Under attack from the Archmage, Demona, Macbeth, and 3 of Auberon's children, Elisa knows they'll need more allies in the up coming fight. She goes to wake a human who has been on the island for a long time.

23. Avalon (3)

Air Date: 1995-11-22

With the Archmage's millennia-spanning plot nearing completion, Goliath decides they must try to recapture one of the items that gives the magician his power. Meanwhile, Elisa and the Magus investigate the legend of the sleeping King - Arthur Pendragon.

24. Shadows of the Past

Air Date: 1995-11-23

The magic of Avalon sends the company back to Castle Wyvern, where Goliath's perception of reality twists, awakening painful memories.

25. Heritage

Air Date: 1995-11-27

Some of Oberon's Children live in the human world, but are forbidden to interfere directly in human affairs. Angela seems very intelligent and observant, while Goliath leaps before he looks.

26. Monsters

Air Date: 1995-11-28

Trying to find Manhattan again through Avalon's magic, the clan ends up on Loch Ness, where Sevarius is trying to capture the famous monster for his experiments.

27. Golem

Air Date: 1995-12-14

Goliath and the others find themselves in Prague, where a rabbi is trying to reawaken a golem to protect the citizens against organized crime.

28. Sanctuary

Air Date: 1995-12-18

In Paris, the company comes across Demona, Thailog, and Macbeth; all deep in a triangle of treachery.

29. M.I.A.

Air Date: 1995-12-21

Sent to London, Goliath comes in contact with the remnants of a local gargoyle clan, and is accused of leading one of their members to his death - 40 years before.

30. Grief

Air Date: 1995-12-28

In Egypt, they find the Pack working on another of Xanatos' schemes - trying to pry immortality out of the god of death Anubis' hands.

31. Kingdom

Air Date: 1996-02-05

Worried about Elisa and Goliath, the remaining gargoyles look around for clues to their whereabouts. Brooklyn starts by contacting Talon, and finds a power struggle developing among the mutants.

32. The Hound of Ulster

Air Date: 1996-02-06

In Ireland, Goliath, Elisa, and Angela find themselves trapped by the Banshee, who believes they're agents of Oberon come to take her back to Avalon.

33. Walkabout

Air Date: 1996-02-07

The World Tourists team up with Dingo and Fox to stop an artificially intelligent machine mass undergoing a grey goo situation.

34. Mark of the Panther

Air Date: 1996-02-08

Humans turning into panthers (or panthers turning into humans), poachers, and Elisa's mother await the company as they arrive in Nigeria.

35. Pendragon

Air Date: 1996-02-12

Seeking Excalibur in London, Arthur meets Griff. Together they're sent by the Stone of Destiny to Manhattan, where the sword is said to lie. Unfortunately, Macbeth is about, having sensed powerful magic gathering...

36. Eye of the Storm

Air Date: 1996-02-13

In Norway, the company is met by a mysterious one-eyed man who wants the Eye of Odin. When Goliath refuses to give it to him, he says they will regret it... especially Elisa, who isn't dressed for the cold.

37. The New Olympians

Air Date: 1996-02-14

In the middle of nowhere, the company finds the hidden city of New Olympus, where the creatures of Greek myth have retreated, and humans are outlawed.

38. The Green

Air Date: 1996-02-15

Cyberbiotics are cutting down the rainforest in Guatemala, and have hired Jackal and Hyena to take care of the local Gargoyle clan.

39. Sentinel

Air Date: 1996-02-19

Arriving on Easter Island, Elisa is taken by a strange being. When she is found again, she has no memories of herself... or the gargoyles.

40. Bushido

Air Date: 1996-02-20

Gargoyles and humans have lived in peace in a Japanese village for centuries, but a businessman plans to exploit that trust for financial gain.

41. Cloud Fathers

Air Date: 1996-02-21

Xanatos is buying up Native American land, and Elisa's father and sister decide to find out what he plans to do with it.

42. Ill Met By Moonlight

Air Date: 1996-02-22

The company hopes for some rest upon returning to Avalon. But the peace is short lived, as Oberon appears, demanding that humans and gargoyles leave the island to make way for the return of his children.

43. Future Tense

Air Date: 1996-04-25

Fortune smiles upon the company, as they spot the Statue of Liberty through the mists. The city is not as they left it... Rather, it is a devastated ruin controlled by Xanatos' robot sentries.

44. The Gathering (1)

Air Date: 1996-04-29

Oberon has gathered his children... save one. Puck remains somewhere in the mortal realm, and Oberon takes a gargoyle hound to Manhattan to track him. Meanwhile, Xanatos' and Fox's families have their own gathering to celebrate a birth.

45. The Gathering (2)

Air Date: 1996-04-30

Oberon besieges Xanatos' skyscraper, determined to let nothing stand between him and the child.

46. Vendettas

Air Date: 1996-05-01

Three vengeful souls seek to make the gargoyles pay for ruining their lives.

47. Turf

Air Date: 1996-05-06

Tomas Brod tries to establish himself in New York by throwing out Dracon. Having infiltrated his gang, Elisa ends up right in the middle.

48. The Reckoning

Air Date: 1996-05-07

When the Manhattan Clan captures Demona, they and the Mutates decide to be her permanent jailers, unaware that they are falling into an elaborate trap.

49. Possession

Air Date: 1996-05-08

Puck's first magic lesson for Alexander causes no end of confusion amongst the gargoyles, as they transfer two of Coldstone's personalities into Broadway and Angela, while possessing two other gargoyles themselves.

50. Hunter's Moon (1)

Air Date: 1996-05-13

Elisa is transferred to the night shift and given a new partner. Demona is stealing large quantities of a powerful disinfectant from Xanatos. And there's a new hunter in town, out to make sure every last gargoyle is dead...

51. Hunter's Moon (2)

Air Date: 1996-05-14

Goliath swears revenge against the Hunters for what they did to Angela, and flies out to take the battle to them.

52. Hunter's Moon (3)

Air Date: 1996-05-15

After learning that the Clan survived the destruction of the clock tower, the Hunters expose their existence to the public while Demona prepares her masterplan to exterminate humanity.
