Oh, Mr. Toad

Oh, Mr. Toad was a television spin-off from the 1980s stop motion animation series The Wind in the Willows. The show was animated by Cosgrove Hall and broadcast on CITV. It then became Series 5 of the main series, when it came onto DVD.

While Mr Toad indulges in his latest craze of fly fishing the weasels pay a visit to Toad Hall.

After a trip to a museum Mr Toad with the help of the weasels tries to invent a perpetual motion machine.

5. Midsummer Night's Disaster

Badger steps down from producing the summer entertainment, Mr Toad takes on the role.

6. Gypsy Toad

Air Date: 1990-05-01

A traveller stops at Toad Hall and does some work for Mr Toad. Over a Gypsy supper Toad is persuaded to tale up the Romany life.

7. Hip Hip Soiree

Air Date: 1990-05-08

Mr Toad holds a soiree at Toad Hall with charades, pin the tail on the donkey and impressions, but things turn into a nightmare for Toad.

8. Piano-Roll Toad

Air Date: 1990-05-15

Mr Toad's Aunt Augusta dies leaving him her player piano in her will. Toad holds a recital at Toad Hall, but the weasels intend to scupper the performance.

9. Happy Birthday

Air Date: 1990-05-22

Whilst trying to drop hints it's his birthday coming up, Mr Toad gets the astrology craze.

10. A Toad in Time

Air Date: 1990-05-29

Mr Toad has been reading HG Wells and decides to build his own time machine.

11. Oarsman Toad

Air Date: 1990-06-05

Mr Toad gets the boating craze and tries to build his own boat with the help of the weasels.

12. Toad in Love

Air Date: 1990-06-12

Whilst taking in a music hall show Mr Toad falls in love with performer Lottie D'Urbeville.

13. Toad: Film Maker

Air Date: 1990-06-19

Mr Toad's film making equipment arrives and he begins production of his own film, but when his actors drop out he has to cast the weasels. Toad holds a film premiere at Toad Hall.
