There Goes the Neighborhood

There Goes the Neighborhood is an American prime-time reality television program on CBS. The show premiered on August 9, 2009, and features eight suburban families shut out from the outside world with no television, internet, phones, or contact with anybody outside of their neighborhood. The families will compete in challenges against each other. Each week, one family will be banished from the neighborhood, thereby eliminating the family from contention for the show's $250,000 prize fund. The show's executive producers are Jay Bienstock and Mike Fleiss. The show's presenter is Matt Rogers, a finalist on American Idol 3.

1. Behind the Huge Wall

Eight families gather in a suburban neighborhood where they will be walled up away from the world and compete against each other for a series of elimination challenges.

2. Ransack the Neighbor's House

Air Date: 2009-08-16

The families are challenged to a scavenger hunt and invade the neighbors homes to search for the items. Later, another family is eliminated.

3. Middle of the Hot Georgia Summer

Air Date: 2009-08-23

The remaining six families deal with the isolation, along with an injury to one of the family members. Two of the unlikely families become unlikely allies with a strategic pact. The neighborhood puzzle involves a puzzle. One more clan is released from the game.

4. Over the Wall

Air Date: 2009-08-30

The families are delivered goodies from an ice cream vendor. Everyone in the neighborhood seem effected by a rift between two groups. One more family is sent packing.

5. Box Lunch

Air Date: 2009-09-06

The families receive a care package from a crane, and each player is taught a unique way to cleanse their clothing. At the end of the show, one more family is eliminated.

6. Freedom

Air Date: 2009-09-13

The families compete in a waterslide challenge, where the winners will spend some time outside the walls.

7. The Walls Come Tumbling Down

Air Date: 2009-09-13

The final 2 families take part in the final challenge before a winner is determined. The winner will then throw a block party for all the families, before those who've been evicted cast their votes to determine the winner of the $250,000 grand prize.
