To enter the Zippie Cola Comedy Contest, Jamie needs press cuttings. Dallas sets up a scam that links Jamie romantically to Ireland's latest pop sensation, Spritney O'Hara. Soon the press are hounding Jamie everywhere, driving the Custer family to distraction. On top of of all that Roxie is trying to keep her relationship with her wannabe rapper boyfriend, Boy Roy, a secret from her Mum.

Jamie falls for pretentious poet Sophie Suttle. While a smitten Jamie tries to impress his new love with his grasp of modern poetry, Dallas and Donnie attempt to get Jamie a slot on the Lonny Crisp Radio Show. Is poetry compatible with comedy? Will Sophie fall for Jamie? Will Jamie ever get his head around poetry, not to mention, True Love?
