On a search for the truth behind a family secret, young Aboriginal Australian delinquent Robyn escapes from juvenile detention and teams up with preacher's son Gidge. Together, they travel to Adelaide seeking answers, while in pursuit are a couple AFP officers, as well as Gidge's father and a madam.

Tensions rise for Robyn on her father’s farm and when the detectives finally catch up to her, she is forced into making a mad dash to reunite with Gidge.
