1916 Seachtar Dearmadta

This series looks at the seven men who were killed in Kilmainham Jail as a result of the 1916 Easter Rising. The people of Ireland have forgotten these men. This is an ambitious series with high standards of information from history to educational to cultural. The seven men are Sean Heuston, Con Colbert, Willie Pearse, Major John McBride, Ned Daly, Michael Mallin and Michael O'Hanrahan.

This major historical documentary series looks at the lives of the other 7 men executed in Kilmainham gaol in the aftermath of the 1916 Easter Rising. Con Colbert was born in Limerick on October 18th, 1888 and was executed on May 8th.

This major historical documentary series looks at the lives of the other 7 men executed in Kilmainham Gaol in the aftermath of the 1916 Easter Rising. John MacBride was born in Westport in Co Mayo.

4. Seán Heuston

Air Date: 2013-11-27

This series looks at the lives of the other 7 men executed in Kilmainham Gaol after the 1916 Easter Rising. Seán Heuston was born in Dublin in 1891. He was educated at The Christian Brothers before working as a railway clerk in Limerick.

5. Michael O'Hanrahan

Michael O’Hanrahan was born in New Ross, Co. Wexford on St Patrick’s Day, 1877. His father was involved in the Fenian Rising of 1867 so it's no surprise that he was one of the rebels executed by the British after 1916 Easter Rising.

6. Willie Pearse

Air Date: 2013-12-11

Born on November 15th 1881, Willie Pearse was the younger brother of Patrick Pearse. Willie and Patrick were very close and when the rising started it’s no surprise that Willie was by his side in the GPO.

7. Ned Daly

Air Date: 2013-12-18

Edward 'Ned' Daly was the Commandant of Dublin’s 1st Battalion during the 1916 Easter Rising and at age 25, was the youngest man to hold such a high rank and also the youngest to be executed on May 4th 1916.
