6. Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé

The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra perform Maurice Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé ballet score, and with soprano Jane Archibald, Olivier Messiaen’s Poèmes pour Mi.

7. Sol Gabetta plays Elgar’s Cello Concerto with the BBC Symphony Orchestra

Dalia Stasevska conducts the BBC Symphony Orchestra in Elgar's Cello Concerto, with Sol Gabetta, Sibelius's First Symphony and Iain Farrington's musical celebration of the BBC, A Party with Auntie.

8. The Lark Ascending

Vaughan Williams’ pastoral masterpiece is stunningly performed by the BBC Philharmonic and soloist Zoë Beyers, alongside works by Elgar and Wagner.

The BBC Symphony Orchestra perform a live soundtrack in this premier stage adaptation of Conan Doyle’s thriller, starring Mark Gatiss as Holmes and Sanjeev Bhaskar as Dr Watson.
1. Dvorak's New World Symphony

The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra performs Bruch's First Violin Concerto, with Jennifer Pike on violin, and Dvorak's New World Symphony, a journey of musical discovery around America.
2. Grieg's Piano Concerto with Zee Zee
Air Date: 2024-03-17
Featuring three pieces of music with a magical and mythical air, conjured up by conductor Lionel Bringuier and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
3. Music Night from Alexandra Palace
Air Date: 2024-05-26
Nessun Dorma and the theme from The Magnificent Seven are just two of the classics performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra on a night of glorious music making. Katie Derham and the orchestra are joined by tenor and MasterChef winner Wynne Evans and violinist Aleksey Semenenko to celebrate more than 70 years of BBC Radio's legendary concert series Friday Night Is Music Night. Conducted by Anna-Maria Helsing, this special concert from London’s famous Alexandra Palace also features favourites by Tchaikovsky and Sibelius.
4. Brahms's Symphony No 4 with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra

Gemma New conducts the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in Brahms's Symphony No 4 in E minor, and violinist Geneva Lewis performs a violin concerto with an American flavour by Samuel Barber.

World-renowned conductor Marin Alsop leads the BBC Concert Orchestra in an uplifting reinterpretation of this seasonal favourite, as Handel’s masterpiece is infused with gospel, jazz and R&B.
2. Elgar's Enigma Variations

The BBC Philharmonic perform one of the most well-known and much-loved British classical pieces to a packed audience at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall.
