Having left behind Seattle Grace Hospital, renowned surgeon Addison Forbes Montgomery moves to Los Angeles for sunnier weather and happier possibilities. She reunites with her friends from medical school, joining them at their chic, co-op, Oceanside Wellness Center in Santa Monica.

A father is frustrated with his daughter when she hides the fact that she's pregnant. When complications arise, Addison, Pete and Dell work together to make sure that the baby and the mother survive, as pain-free as possible. Jenny, a woman who has been seeing Violet, starts counting the tiles at a department store. To investigate what triggered it, Cooper and Paul, a shop assistant, assist Violet. Meanwhile, when a man dies of a stroke, Naomi, Sam and Charlotte argue over who should get his sperm - his wife or his mistress.
2. In Which Sam Receives an Unexpected Visitor

After some analyzation, Michael reveals that he thinks he is gay, but doesn't want to tell his homophobic father. Catherine, the mother of a teenager, worries when her daughter won't get out of bed or eat. After the daughter runs away, Catherine tries to track her down. Brian, a 12-year-old, punches a teen for kissing his girlfriend. Later, the teen goes missing. A mother of a toddler goes to a lawyer when she thinks the cops are after her as they believe she knows where her husband is. When a boy asks his parents to fund him to go to rehab - his mothers dismay. A man that can't stop his hands from shaking comes in, and the doctors figure out what's wrong with him.

Miranda Bailey brings a kidney transplant patient to Los Angeles, and Addison and especially Sam is pleased to see her. Addison's consequences of her emotional affair with Noah catch up with her. Sheldon and Pete finally discover who the father of Violet's baby.

Addison, Sam and Cooper treat the sick child of a homeless teen mother they met while volunteering. Meanwhile Violet has trouble relating to her baby when her feelings about her attack resurface during counseling of a rape victim who is now pregnant, and Cooper's financial woes catch up with him when he's asked to help buy out Naomi's share of the practice.
5. Strange Bedfellows

Katie Kent is apprehended and on trial. Violet is asked to testify against her attacker, but she struggles with whether or not she can face her attacker in court. Meanwhile a serious complication threatens the fetuses of two of Naomi's former patients and Charlotte is determined to convince Addison, Sam and Cooper to let her join Oceanside Wellness Group.

Charlotte, Cooper and Violet treat a newlywed who, on his wedding night has taken too much Viagra. Pete and Sheldon go out to a bar together and end up falling for the same girl.

Everyone treads a little lightly around her, especially Pete and Addison who have mixed feelings about Violet's desire to reconnect with Lucas. Meanwhile Amelia butts into Sam's personal life, pointing out that he can mend hearts in the OR but can't seem to do that for himself; and Sheldon encourages Charlotte to reconcile with Cooper, while Cooper deals with a young patient who eats everything in sight.
