Pete versus Life is a Channel 4 sitcom created by George Jeffrie and Bert Tyler-Moore. It stars Rafe Spall and the first episode was aired on 6 August 2010. It was recommissioned for a second series after averaging 1.6 million viewers and a young demographic during its first run, and series two started airing on 21 October 2011.

Pete claims that he won't travel on an aircraft end up inadvertently impressing a young lady with his commitment to green issues. Pete realises that he is going to have to make changes to his lifestyle if he wants to sustain the relationship.

2. Fankoo

Air Date: 2010-08-13

Jake, a rival and friend of Pete's, reveals an intimate detail about his sex life at a party they are both at. After promising to keep it a secret, Pete ends up telling everyone.

3. Older Woman

Air Date: 2010-08-20

When Pete attends an art auction he meets an attractive older lady and they hit it off. He sonn finds that being a toy boy' though results in complications.

4. Marriage of Convenience

Air Date: 2010-08-27

Pete realises that he's too selfish and decides to turn his life around. His first altruistic act is to agree to a visa marriage.

5. Ollie's Girlfriend

Air Date: 2010-09-03

Pete finally gets a decent sports writing job but it's on the basis of a pretend relationship with his best mate's girlfriend. Problems ensue when an office romance blossoms.

It's double trouble for Pete when he is accused of kidnapping an old lady's dog, while pretending to be a heroin addict to try an impress a Polish cleaner.

2. Frank Leaves Noreen

Air Date: 2011-10-28

Pete is back with his ex-girlfriend, Chloe, and is desperate to make a good impression. Unfortunately, Pete's dad, Frank, turns up on his doorstep after deciding that he and Pete's mum should have a break from each other.

3. The Tennis Player

Air Date: 2011-11-04

With not much work around, Pete ends up getting a job in a chicken packing factory. Things begin to improve though when his article criticising Britan's seventh best tennis player, Lottie Beaumont, is printed in a national newspaper. The only probelm is though that Pete is dating Lottie.

4. A Night at the Light Opera

Air Date: 2011-11-11

Pete wins some tickets to see the hit musical Mamma Mia! and, after 'acquiring' a lovely leather jacket from a bag outside a charity shop, manages to find a date, Helene. However, Helene is clearly more intelligent than Pete, which doesn't bode well for our intellectually challenged hero.

5. The Veteran

Air Date: 2011-11-25

Pete claims that he's been in the army in order to impress Mel, his new girlfriend. Unfortunately for Pete, her brother Tom is a genuine veteran.

6. Does Pete Dream of Electric Sheep

Air Date: 2011-12-09

Pete starts dating a new girlfriend, Tilly, who believes that UFOs are of alien origin. All is going well until Pete discovers that Chloe, 'the one that got away', is going out with his nemesis, Jake.
