Killing Time is an Australian television drama series on TV1 subscription television channel which first screened in 2011. It is based on the true story of disgraced lawyer Andrew Fraser. In New Zealand it screens on Prime Television. The ten part series is written by Ian David, Mac Gudgeon, Katherine Thompson and Shaun Grant. The executive producer is Jason Stephens. The series was initially due to screen in 2010 but was deferred due to strong violence and horror content scenes of the mini-series, which jeopardised a series of gangland trials that were in progress.

Fraser struggles to keep Dennis out of jail. Dennis wants Fraser to work for him exclusively which is a problem when he finds out Fraser's representing a local biker gang muscling into his territory.

Dennis' empire crumbles around him while Fraser defends his friend against a pub shooting charge. Fraser's sure he can beat the charges but his biggest challenge is keeping the witnesses safe.

Following Dennis' death, Fraser represents his younger brother Victor only to find himself involved in what is still known as one of Australia's most cold-blooded crimes.

With two young constables murdered, Melbourne is turned upside down. Fraser calls publicly for calm but to many he seems to be taking the suspects' side causing animosity between him and the police.

After Victor and cohorts are charged with the police killings, Fraser builds a defence plan with his team of lawyers but has to contend with a hostile witness and starts leaning heavily on cocaine.

Following Fraser's success at the Walsh Street trial, he's now the most publicly despised yet sought after criminal defence lawyer in Australia which brings him the biggest catch of all, Alan Bond.

Fraser's coke usage is out of control. He continues to work but he can no longer hide it from his friends, colleagues and now clients, causing him a lot of strife he can't control.

Air Date: 2011-06-07

Fraser has set up his own legal practice but the glory days are over with only low-paying cases coming to him. His marriage is in tatters and all he seeks is the next coke high.

Air Date: 2011-06-14

Fraser's been caught red handed using and giving advice on an importation of cocaine. He believes he'll get a 6 month suspended sentence but the judge hits him with 7 years in maximum security.
