Interior Design. Wall-to-Wall Drama.
Bravo's competition reality series premieres with 12 of the country's hottest new interior designers, artists and architects, who will draw upon their creativity and expertise and compete to create the 'Top Design'. The winner receives $100,000 to jump-start a career in design, a magazine spread, and a spot in New York's Designer showcases.
Seasons
1. Mystery Client
Air Date: 2007-01-31
In this first kick-off challenge, both teams must design an inner sanctum for a mystery celebrity.
2. Child's Play
Air Date: 2007-02-07
In the second 'Top Design' challenge, contestants will each be given a dossier for individual clients for whom they must design a bedroom. Halfway through the challenge, with their sketches finalized and the shopping completed, they will learn there is a big and small twist. Only one talented designer will win.
3. Design's a Beach
Air Date: 2007-02-14
It's all about rest and relaxation for the remaining contestants as they head to the beach in the third episode of "Top Design" -- or so they think. The sun and sand will turn out to be the grounds for another challenge.
4. One Man's Trash...
Air Date: 2007-02-21
Every talented interior designer must have an 'eye for design,' and this fourth episode will test the eye of each of the remaining contestants. They must create a living and work space for their clients, who are all design students, using uncommon materials.
5. Garage Band
Air Date: 2007-03-07
The fifth episode of 'Top Design' features the designers working with The All-American family -- three kids, two parents, and a dog -- to create a dream family space.
6. Life of the Party
Air Date: 2007-03-14
Party on! The contestants will be split into two teams of three in the sixth 'Top Design' challenge and asked to design competing party spaces for Bacardi Limon to entertain guests of ELLE DECOR Magazine. Find out who can really party in this all-new episode.
7. Chef's Choice
Air Date: 2007-03-21
The competition gets cookin' in the seventh episode of 'Top Design' when the remaining contestants face 'Top Chef' Head Judge Tom Colicchio (Chef) in their hardest design challenge yet.
8. Metropolitan Home Suites
Air Date: 2007-03-28
The creative juices will flow as the remaining contestants head to the upscale Viceroy Hotel in Los Angeles to design a high-end modern hotel room. The guest judge is design and fashion expert Linda O'Keeffe.
9. ELLE DECOR Cover Inspiration
Air Date: 2007-04-04
The strongest remaining interior design contestants select one of 10 ELLE DECOR Magazine covers as inspiration for their design for an living room.
10. Lofty Designs
Air Date: 2007-04-11
And then there were two. The remaining contenders who will strive to create the ultimate 'Top Design' will each design the interior of a house -- two separate 1,700 square foot lofts in downtown Los Angeles to be exact.
1. Impress the Best
Air Date: 2008-09-03
The life of an interior designer often means dealing with very difficult, opinionated and demanding clientele and in the premiere episode of the second season of Top Design, the designers are presented with exactly that.
2. Artsy Bunker
Air Date: 2008-09-10
The designers are faced with a challenge about survival and will have to work in teams to create a fashionable yet functional space - the real challenge however, will be if they can survive working with each other.
3. Window Display
Air Date: 2008-09-17
The interior designers must work in teams to create a window display inspired by a garment from one of the former Runway designers.
4. Bachelor Pad
Air Date: 2008-09-24
In the fourth episode of "Top Design," the contestants are broken up into teams and will re-design the bachelor pads of three very different men on a very limited budget. Everyone's favorite obsessive-compulsive house-flipper, "Flipping Out's" Jeff Lewis stops by as guest judge.
5. Triathlon of Decorating
Air Date: 2008-10-01
The fifth episode of "Top Design" pushes the contestants to their creative limits, as they each have to compete in an interior design triathlon. There will be twists and turns along the way and in the end, only one designer will be declared the winner and another will be sent home.
6. Eco-Offices
Air Date: 2008-10-08
In the sixth episode of "Top Design," the contestants will re-design the new offices for an environmental consulting firm that helps government, non-profit and corporate clients address critical challenges in the environment. The designers will each get their own office to redecorate, but they must work together as a whole to create one cohesive look for the entire workspace.
7. Room of the Future
Air Date: 2008-10-15
Every interior designer needs a vision and in the seventh episode of "Top Design," the contestants are asked to take that vision into the future. The contestants creativity and imagination are put to the test and the ideas are limitless.
8. Light It Up
Air Date: 2008-10-22
Inspiration can come from anything and in the eighth episode of "Top Design," the challenge is all about testing the designers' ability to design a room around one specific item. Simon Doonan, Creative Director of Barneys, will help decide, when he stops by as a guest judge.
9. Finale Part 1
Air Date: 2008-10-29
"Flipping Out's" Jeff Lewis is back to judge part one of the "Top Design" season two finale. It's a critical elimination and Lewis holds nothing back from the contestants or his fellow judges.
10. Season Finale
Air Date: 2008-11-05
In the final episode of "Top Design," the designers are given the ultimate challenge, decorating a house from top to bottom. In the end, two designers will be sent home and one will be named the winner of "Top Design."
