Project Runway Junior
12 contestants under the age of 18 compete in a modeling competition to win a full scholarship to FIDM in California, a full sewing and crafting studio from Brother, a feature in seventeen magazine, and $25,000 to start their own line.

In the first unconventional challenge, the young designers must create garments out of materials found at a car wash.
3. Teamwork Is Hard

The designers are divided into two teams and must create cohesive mini collections inspired by the decades; one team gets off to a bad start.
4. OMG! That's Michelle Obama
Air Date: 2015-12-10
First lady Michelle Obama surprises the designers with a challenge; one winning design will be manufactured and sold to benefit the Peace Corps' initiative, Let Girls Learn.
5. Race to the Red Carpet
Air Date: 2015-12-17
The designers are tasked with creating a red carpet look in only five short hours; Tim brings in some talented surprise guests to help the designers.
6. Superstar Clients
Air Date: 2016-01-07
The designers' clients for the challenge are the Knicks City Dancers; some designers struggle to work with clients for the first time.

The designers must choose their muses from people on the streets of New York; the judges struggle with an emotional elimination.
8. Make a Statement

In the final challenge to determine who will compete during New York Fashion Week, the designers must create a look that makes a personal statement.

The final designers head home to create their collections for New York fashion week, and receive last minute advice from the judges.

Conclusion. In the Season 1 finale, the young designers put the finishing touches on their garments and showcase their collections at New York Fashion Week. Later, the winner is announced.

When the designers meet Tim and Hannah at a rooftop pool they quickly realize that they are in for their first unconventional materials challenge! Some are excited and some are scared!

In their first team challenge, the designers must create avant-garde looks inspired by Tim Gunn's most recent passion, fencing.
4. Step It Up From Day to Night

The designers become tasked with creating a transitional look that will take a woman on the go from day to night.
5. Light Up the Runway

The judges are dazzled when the designers create high fashion looks using LED lights and turn their models into a living light show!
6. Firefighting Clients

A surprise fire drill sends the designers out of the workroom to meet their new clients. Working with clients proves to be extremely challenging for some of the designers.
7. High End Italian Fashion

The designers must create a high fashion look worthy of Milan Fashion Week. Everyone is giving it their all to advance to the next round but also to win a trip to Italy.
8. Race to the Finale
Air Date: 2017-02-09
For their final challenge, the designers are tasked to create an editorial look inspired by street art murals. The designers are giving it their all to make it to the finale and because the judges forewarned a double elimination.
9. Finale, Part One
Air Date: 2017-02-16
The final designers head home to create collections for the finale in Los Angeles. The pressure is intense, as one more elimination is looming.
10. Finale, Part Two
Air Date: 2017-02-23
The teen designers put the final touches on their collections before showing in front of a live audience at the finale at FIDM Los Angeles! The winner of Project Runway: Junior is announced. Actress and singer Olivia Holt is the guest judge.
