All Dogs Go to Heaven: The Series is an animated television series which aired from 1996 to 1998 in syndication and on the Fox Family Channel from 1998 to 1999, with 41 half-hour episodes produced in total. It aired on Cartoon Network in 1999 to 2000. It was produced by MGM Animation and was distributed by Claster Television. Don Bluth’s 1989 animated feature All Dogs Go to Heaven featured a roguish German Shepherd named Charlie who died, went to heaven, conned his way back to Earth for vengeance on his killer Carface and then found redemption through a little orphaned girl named Ann-Marie. The film was popular with audiences, spawning a sequel, All Dogs Go to Heaven 2 and this animated series. The theme song for the series is "A Little Heaven", written by Lorraine Feather and Mark Watters. The singers were Gene Miller of Nashville, Clydene Jackson-Edwards and Carmen Twillie. Most of the voice actors from the feature films reprised their roles in the series, including Dom DeLuise, Ernest Borgnine, Charles Nelson Reilly, Bebe Neuwirth, Sheena Easton and Adam Wylie. Steven Weber provided the voice of Charlie B. Barkin, who was voiced in the films by Burt Reynolds and Charlie Sheen.

1. The Doggone Truth
Air Date: 1996-09-21
For having messed up three missions in a row, Charlie's put on probation by Annabelle so isn't allowed to do, say, or even think anything bad until he does a good deed. When Carface and Killer take over the Flea Bite Café and turn it into an arcade, Charlie and Itchy have to cross-dress to get the café back.
2. Field Trip
Air Date: 1996-09-28
While traipsing in a snooty Nob Hill area, Charlie and Itchy are lured into a trap set by a bratty dog-hating kid named Teddy.
3. Lance the Wonder Pup
Air Date: 1996-10-05
A new, rule-abiding canine named Lance the Wonder Pup arrives from Heaven, only bringing headaches to those around him.
4. Puppy Sitter
Air Date: 1996-10-19
Anabelle assigns Charlie and Itchy to find a home for a little puppy. The puppy turns out to be extremely wild and impossible to find a home. Charlie, however, discovers that Sasha is impressed with his nobility he is when caring for the pup.
5. Dogs in the House
Air Date: 1996-11-02
Itchy is unable to properly beg for food, unlike Charlie, who masters it quite often. Under Charlie's guidance, Itchy begs a spoiled rich girl for ice cream, who, in return, takes Itchy as a new pet. Meanwhile, Carface and Killer have picked the same house as their next target in a string of burglaries.
6. Cyrano de Barkinac

Itchy becomes infatuated with a pedigree named Bess, who, through a number of miscommunications, thinks it's Charlie who likes her.
7. An Itch in Time
Air Date: 1996-11-16
It's David's 10th birthday and he's received a voice recorder. However, it gets him study hall from the vice principal, so Charlie and Itchy bust him out for a day of fun but must watch the clock to get their human friend back in time.
8. Mission Im-paws-ible
Air Date: 1996-11-23
Carface and Killer steal Itchy's Heavenly Collar, so Charlie, Itchy, and Sasha plan to get it back. When the plan involves Sasha flirting with Carface, Charlie's jealousy gets the better of him.
9. Mutts Ado About Nothing
Air Date: 1996-11-30
Bess and Sasha plan a double date with Charlie and Itchy, unaware that the bickering buddies have had their personality souls swapped by Annabelle.
10. Dog Eat Dog
Air Date: 1997-01-18
Sasha visits her sister and her new puppies in Los Angeles, leaving Charlie and Itchy in charge of the Flea Bite until she returns.
11. Will Success Spoil Itchy Itchiford?
Air Date: 1997-01-25
Charlie auditions to be the new spokes-dog for Gulpo Dog Food, but the company picks Itchy instead. Now Itchy's famous and Charlie's left sulking in the Flea Bite Café, leaving everyone wondering, 'Will success spoil Itchy Itchiford?'
12. Heaventh Inning Stretch

Annabelle assigns the duo on a mission to help a boy named Leon join his Little League team. What Charlie doesn't know is that this is Itchy's twentieth mission, and if successful, he will be reallowed entry to Heaven. With the separation between him and his best friend at stake, Charlie struggles with moral dilemma: to deliberately tank the mission or help out and let Itchy go back to Heaven.
13. The Perfect Dog

Sasha wants a 'perfect dog' and Charlie takes advantage of being hit by a car to smother her in love and kindness, until she goes mad.

Charlie and Itchy are sent on a seemingly nefarious mission, unaware that who they believe is Annabelle is in fact her demonic cousin Belladonna.

Charlie needs a vacation, and manages to convince Itchy into taking one, but with so many bad things happening, Charlie can't even go a block without being someone's Guardian Angel.
3. Charlie's Cat-Astrophe

Charlie and Itchy are assigned to return a cat named Dilly to her owner, but when Dilly gets taken in by a dog-hating cat lady, the duo must use a Miracle Dog Tag to become cats to rescue her.
4. Magical Misery Tour

A magic multiplying box spells three times the trouble when Charlie overbooks his afternoon between a date with Sasha, his poker buddies, and a fight with Otto and his gang.
5. Miss Guidance
Air Date: 1997-10-18
Charlie volunteers to go get notes that David's crush Alex left in her mom's car, but Sasha must go with Charlie instead. Charlie, however, doesn't see women as good partners for this type of thing. Sasha decides to show Charlie what women can do.
6. Fearless Fido
Air Date: 1997-11-08
Bess is being threatened by her ex Manfred and wants out to be with Itchy. Itchy tries everything to protect her but it's Charlie who saves Bess. Itchy is later hypnotized by a magician who turns him into a superhero.
7. Pair-a-Dogs Lost
Air Date: 1997-11-15
Itchy is frightened by a wilderness movie, but Charlie tells Itchy that every dog has wolf blood in them, even Itchy. And so Charlie decides that they are going on a trip into the wild, so Itchy can live up to his heritage. They encounter a lost girl scout named Charlotte, and help her find her troop.
8. Kibbleland
Air Date: 1997-11-22
Charlie decides to try Kibbleland's new game, but he becomes selfish to not only think of himself and nobody else, not even Sasha. This becomes serious when Belladonna tricks Sasha into playing the game as a big tornado approaches and sucks her into the world of Kibbleland. The duo must find a way to rescue her before she's trapped forever.
9. The Rexx Files
Air Date: 1998-01-31
Assigned to guard a crystal, Charlie and Itchy continue goofing off, but Charlie becomes convinced he's seen a UFO and Itchy doesn't believe him. The 'aliens', actually Carface and Killer, break into Charlie and Itchy's home and steal the crystal, prompting Charlie to get it back.

Itchy gets sent to the pound and has to break out with help from Killer.
11. Heaven Nose
Air Date: 1998-02-14
Charlie has been lying a bit too much lately, so Anabelle makes his nose grow every time he tells a lie. Charlie must start telling the truth or face the consequences.
12. The Big Fetch

Charlie falls into a coma and has a dream of becoming a 1930s era detective to find out about a cat-scheme.
13. All Creatures Great & Dinky
Air Date: 1998-02-28
The next mission takes Charlie and Itchy to the sewers to help a colony of mice. Toxic smelling paint and other junk washed down the drains, taking away their freedom of living without worries. They join forces with Moxie, a mother mouse in the colony, to crack the case, and follow the drain to Carface and Killer's curio shop, where the villainous duo trying to transform new looking toy trains to look like antiques to sell for big money.

Circus animals are being mistreated, and Charlie and Itchy are on the case. They learn that an elephant named Nelly is abused, and it's their job to videotape it and send it to animal control.
2. Dogfaces
Air Date: 1998-08-07
Charlie and Itchy are sent to a military base and show a kid how to have fun, but Anabelle also sent them there so Charlie would learn some respect for authority figures.
3. Charlie the Human
Air Date: 1998-08-14
Charlie and Itchy are assigned on a mission to watch an absent-minded scientist. Armed with a Miracle Dog Tag, supposed to be used for emergencies only, Charlie persuades Itchy to let him have it, turning himself into a human.
4. History of All Dogs
Air Date: 1998-08-21
Itchy and Charlie write a report for David on the history of all dogs and how they helped society.
5. Trading Collars
Air Date: 1998-08-28
Charlie and Itchy take a stroll on the upper-class neighborhood and meet a rich show dog named Thor, who looks exactly like Charlie. Charlie wants to know what it is like to be pampered, and Thor wants to know what it is like to be a free-spirited street dog, so the two switch places. When Thor's agility contest comes up, and Charlie's expected to do a dangerous move, Charlie soon realizes that switching places between each other is more difficult than at first thought.
6. Whacked to the Future
Air Date: 1998-09-04
Charlie dreams a bad future for himself. When it takes him to a future where dogs live under the oppressive rule of the canine-hating 'Deliverer', he decides to change his ways before it's too late.
7. Dr. Beagle & Mangy Hide
Air Date: 1998-09-11
Carface gets his hands on a dangerous substance able to turn dogs into monsters. He and Killer taint Charlie's dog food, and Charlie turns into a monster. Carface and Killer plan to use Charlie to steal for them, and then turn Charlie in. Itchy learns about this situation and goes to rescue his best friend.
8. Charlie's Angle
Air Date: 1998-09-18
Charlie is assigned to train three potential angels, but when he fails, and he needs their help, they mess up, getting Charlie in deeper trouble.
9. Agent from F.I.D.O.
Air Date: 1998-09-25
Itchy tells the story of the amazing Double Dog Dare and how he saved the world.
10. Bess and Itchy's Dog School Reunion
Air Date: 1998-10-02
Itchy accompanies Bess to her dog school reunion, with Itchy pretending to be of pedigree. Afghan Hound Tiffany humiliates Bess, sparking Charlie to prank her, but it only makes everything worse. After Tiffany puts fleas on Itchy, the beam she's standing on collapses. With the other dogs unwilling to help, it's Itchy to the rescue.
11. When Hairy Met Silly
Air Date: 1998-10-09
Charlie recounts how he met Itchy, and how he'd been a bad dog to a pair of puppies arguing over a bag of dog food.
12. The Wrong Stuff
Air Date: 1998-10-16
Charlie becomes obsessed with being recorded doing a heroic act. That is, until Itchy almost drowns, but the reporters catch him saving Itchy, and the two get to go to an exclusive hotel suite.
13. Haunted Is As Haunted Does
Air Date: 1998-10-30
Itchy gets so scared that he can't help Charlie, who decides it's time for Itchy to face his fears. He tells Itchy that they are spending the night in a supposedly haunted mansion, unaware that it's not just superstition.
14. He Barked, She Barked
Air Date: 1998-11-06
Charlie is put on Heavenly Trial by Belladonna, who alleges that he's been abusing his angelic position. If found guilty, Charlie will be stripped of his duties and sent to work on the other side.
15. An All Dogs Christmas Carol
Air Date: 1998-11-17
Charlie, Itchy and Sasha itch and scratch their way through everything and anything in an effort to save Christmas from the wicked hellhound Belladonna, who wants to use dogs from all over the world to ruin Christmas.
