
So You Think You Can Dance Canada
Dance hopefuls from all over the country audition, vying for a boarding pass the Finals Week in Toronto. There, they will work with some of Canada's top choreographers to earn a spot in the Top 20. The dancers will then work in partners and select a different dance style each week, in the hopes gaining the public's votes. Two competitors are eliminated each week during the results shows.

The judges travel across Canada to audition the hopefuls who want to be crowned Canada's favourite dancer.

2. Vancouver/Halifax Auditions

The judges continue their search for Canada's favourite dancer with auditions in Vancouver and Halifax.

3. Calgary/Montreal Auditions
Air Date: 2008-09-17
The judges continue their search for Canada's favourite dancer with auditions in Calgary and Montreal.

4. Finals Week
Air Date: 2008-10-01
Nearly 200 dancers come to Toronto for the So You Think You Can Dance Canada's Finals Week. They go through 4 days of elimination and the Top 20 dancers are revealed.

5. Top 20 Dance
Air Date: 2008-10-08
The top 20 are paired off and begin the competition to find out who will be Canada's favourite dancer. The show starts off with a salsa that is deemed hot by all the judges, and ends with an entertaining retro jazz number. In between, some of the couples amaze the judges, while others fail to impress.

6. Top 20 Results
Air Date: 2008-10-09
In the first results show, the top 20 perform together, doing a theatre dance to a Mestre Barrao song. After the voting results are announced, the judges deliberate and announce who will be going home.

7. Top 18 Dance
Air Date: 2008-10-15
This week, the top 18 dance some familiar styles such as hip hop, contemporary, and Viennese waltz, and the first ever dance hall routine on a dance show.

8. Top 18 Results
Air Date: 2008-10-16
The results are in, and two dancers will be going home, but first the top 18 perform together for the last time, doing a colourful Bollywood number.

9. Top 16 Perform
Air Date: 2008-10-22
The top 16 dance everything from Krumping to the dance that is known as 'the kiss of death', the Quick Step. Benji Schwimmer choreographs a routine, and Kenny Ortega, director of High School Musical and Dirty Dancing acts as a guest judge.

10. Top 16 Results
Air Date: 2008-10-23
The results are in for the top 16 dancers, but before the results are announced, they perform together for the last time, doing a Viennese Waltz choreographed by judge Jean Marc Genereux.

11. Top 14 Perform
Air Date: 2008-10-29
The top 14 dance hip hop, jazz, theatre and West Coast Swing, with choreography by some of the judges from this show as well as some of the contestants from season 2 of the American version of the show.

12. Top 14 Results
Air Date: 2008-10-30
The top 14 take to the stage one last time together, and dance a Halloween-inspired number choreographed by Melissa Williams. After deliberating, the judges send two more dancers home.

13. Top 12 Perform
Air Date: 2008-11-05
The top 12 dancers take the stage to be judged by guest judges Rex Harrington and Melissa Williams. The dances performed include the foxtrot, hip hop, salsa, and the first-ever house routine on any So You Think You Can Dance.

14. Top 12 Results
Air Date: 2008-11-06
The top 12 take the stage for the last time together, dancing a Victorian-themed contemporary routine choreographed by Blake McGrath. After the voting results are revealed, the judges make their decision and two more dancers go home, while the Top 10 is revealed.

15. Top 10 Perform
Air Date: 2008-11-12
The top 10 dancers have new partners and new dances to learn, and all dance a solo number in order to gain Canada's votes to become "Canada's Favourite Dancer".

16. Top 10 Results
Air Date: 2008-11-13
The top 10 take the stage to perform a contemporary dance choreographed by Mia Michaels, then the results of the voting are announced, and the two dancers with the fewest votes are sent home.

17. Top 8 Perform
Air Date: 2008-11-19
Mia Michaels and Dan Karaty take the judges' seat as the top 8 take the stage to dance their way to the finals.

18. Top 8 Results
Air Date: 2008-11-20
The top 8 take the stage to dance a Paso Doble choreographed by judge Jean Marc Genereux before hearing the results of the voting that will send two of the dancers home.

19. Top 6 Perform
Air Date: 2008-11-26
It's down to six dancers; each one must dance three times for the audience votes, doing two couples' dances and one solo. Guest judges Mary Murphy and Sean Cheesman join the regular judges in voicing their opinions.

20. Top 6 Results
Air Date: 2008-11-27
The top 6 perform a step routine choreographed by judge Tre Armstrong before the voting results are announced that will tell who is in the finale and who is going home.

21. Top 4 Perform
Air Date: 2009-12-03
Natalli, Nico, Allie, and Miles are the last four dancers to compete for the title "Canada's Favourite Dancer". Tonight, they will dance as a group, in couples, and do solos to win votes from the viewers.

22. Finale

The top 20 return to the stage to perform favourite dances, and the winner of the title "Canada's Favourite Dancer" is announced.

Season 2 begins with the Toronto auditions, where hopeful contestants perform in front of Jean Marc Genereux, Tre Armstrong, Luther Brown, and Mary Murphy. Some make it through, while others have to spend some time in Blake McGrath's boot camp.
2. Vancouver and Saint John Auditions

The auditions continue across Canada, with stops in Vancouver, BC, and Saint John, NB. Contestants perform before regular judges Jean Marc Genereux and Tre Armstrong, as well as guest judges Mary Murphy (Vancouver), Sean Cheesman (St. John), and Melissa Williams (St. John).
3. Montreal and Edmonton Auditions

As the audition tour draws to a close, the judges seek out qualified dancers in Montreal and Edmonton.
4. Finals Week

Dancers have made it through the audition process in Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton, St. John, and Vancouver. Now they must compete against each other to earn a spot in the top 20 in a week of gruelling dancing in Toronto.

In this special one-hour episode, the Top 20 for season 2 of the show will be revealed after a gruelling finals week in Toronto.
