During Holiday Baking Week, the top five bakers celebrate and commemorate the season with three delectable holiday-themed challenges.

The top four semi-finalists face French Patisserie Week, with a series of technically difficult challenges that will determine the final top three bakers.

1. Cake Week

Ann Pornel and Alan Shane Lewis host ten of the country's best amateur bakers in the baking tent; esteemed Judges Kyla Kennaley and Bruno Feldeisen declare the first Star Baker of the season, and decide which baker is first to leave the tent.
2. Biscuits and Cookies
Air Date: 2022-10-09
Bakers create meringue bars featuring a cookie base and a filling of their choice; the pressure is on during the Technical Challenge; the bakers must tell a story using only cookies with their whimsical fairy tale scene.
3. Bread Week
Air Date: 2022-10-16
Bread Week has arrived; each baker will show their stuff with stuffed flat breads; a Swedish tea ring for coffee time; the bakers must create an edible bread work of art.
4. Botanical Week
Air Date: 2022-10-23
Bakers must prepare pressed flower cookies featuring an edible flower or herb baked into them; bakers are tasked with making Chebakia; the bakers fool the judges's eyes with a botanical illusion cake.
5. Chocolate Week
Air Date: 2022-10-30
The bakers must re-create the Sacher Torte; the bakers must hide a dessert within a chocolate shell for Kyla and Bruno to discover in the 3D chocolate reveal.
6. Pastry Week
Air Date: 2022-11-06
The bakers demonstrate their take on a chimney cake; bakers rise to great heights with a baklava tower, built using phyllo pastry; one baker will wow the judges to become Star Baker and another sees their journey in the baking tent come to an end.
7. Fancy Dessert Week
Air Date: 2022-11-13
Four remaining bakers dress up some desserts; the bakers start with mochi donuts, then provide their take on the sans rival; the bakers must wow the judges with a jelly art cake, topped with a spectacle encased in jelly.
8. Finale
Air Date: 2022-11-20
Bakers demonstrate their abilities by taking on the classic Paris Brest; bakers try their hand at cassata; the bakers push their skills to the limit with a garden party dessert centerpiece made of at least three different bakes.
