LEGO Masters
Eight pairs of Brick heads are pitted against each other in a quest to impress with their creativity, design and flair, driven by their unparalleled passion for the possibilities that will start with a single LEGO brick.
Seasons
1. Mega City
Air Date: 2019-04-28
The first challenge involves teams having to complete a LEGO City by filling in these empty blocks of land. They were given 15 hours to complete the challenge.
2. Blockbusters
Air Date: 2019-04-29
Teams have seven hours to make an amazing space-themed creation, but they will be judged on how spectacularly it breaks when destroyed by various means: baseball bat, high-speed crash, 6m drop or explosives.
3. Cut in Half (Elimination)
Air Date: 2019-04-30
In the first elimination, teams must turn everyday items that have been cut in half from normal to incredible. A bike, a typewriter, a TV and a violin must be morphed into something completely new using only Lego.
4. Break & Make and the Apartment (Elimination)
Air Date: 2019-05-05
Teams must break apart Brickman's parrot to create something original in four hours. They'll then build an impressive three-storey apartment in 10 hours, stacking on top of each other's.
5. The Bridge
Air Date: 2019-05-06
In a test of their engineering skills, teams must construct a bridge across a 2m canyon with no centre support; the winning structure will be the one to withstand the most weight. With 10 hours on the clock, the race is on.
6. Evil Lair (Elimination)
Air Date: 2019-05-07
Imaginations are let loose in this challenge where teams must create an evil lair for a supervillain Minifigure in 13 hours, including a vehicle. The least impressive villain world will ultimately send its makers home.
7. Duplicate & Classic Movie Scene (Elimination)
Air Date: 2019-05-12
Teams must duplicate the classic DeLorean car from Back to the Future - the real thing present for reference. Next, they re-create an iconic moment in cinema in a vignette on their tables, with the least impressive team saying farewell.
8. Time Train (Elimination)
Air Date: 2019-05-13
The four remaining teams each contribute to a Time Train diorama built in 16 hours. From the Wild West, the Future, Prehistoric and Medieval Times, this challenge will mark the end of one team's journey and reveal our grand finalists.
9. Grand Finale
Air Date: 2019-05-14
Three teams battle it out in the grand finale. With 28 hours to build, they can now create their ultimate masterpiece. Judged by public vote, Brickman and a top Lego designer.
1. Whole New World
Air Date: 2020-04-19
Eight teams have 15 hours to build a 'whole new world' to win not only the famous Golden Brick, giving immunity, but the Flash Jordy Brick, where they can use season one's famous Jordy as their runner to the Brick Pit.
2. Hero Shot
Air Date: 2020-04-20
The teams have 10 hours to make a showstopping Hero Shot, one that looks like the ultimate moment in a movie. They must pick a story that will explode using their four elements: chalk, water, glitter and slime.
3. Fairy Tale (Elimination)
Air Date: 2020-04-21
In the first elimination, teams must create a classic fairy tale scene. They will have 12 hours to complete a fairy story that is recognisable and impressive. For one duo, the chance to be this season's Lego Masters slips away.
4. The Tower (Elimination)
Air Date: 2020-04-26
A double-header challenge sees the remaining teams build a tower as tall as they can in two hours. Then, in one of the hardest builds so far, they must create magic from one hanging brick - a careful measure of weight and balance.
5. Make 'n' Shake
Air Date: 2020-04-27
In a test of their engineering skills, the six teams have to build a structure that can withstand increasing shake factors. The team that survives the highest shake factor will win immunity.
6. 3D Art (Elimination)
Air Date: 2020-05-03
The third elimination hangs over the teams' heads as they are challenged with building a 3D art piece out of Lego. With one team safe with immunity, four teams go head-to-head to create incredible and beautiful 3D Lego art.
7. Above and Below / Retro Rebuild (Elimination)
Air Date: 2020-05-04
In another elimination, the teams face two challenges. The first must be a story that lives above and below their tables, essentially telling two stories. The two teams with the lowest scores then battle it out in a Retro Rebuild.
8. Star Wars
Air Date: 2020-05-10
The ultimate challenge comes to life when the contestants are blown away to discover it's all about Star Wars! Not only do they get to build their favourite ships, but are thrilled when a new Star Wars LEGO Brick Pit is revealed.
9. Underwater (Elimination)
Air Date: 2020-05-11
Another elimination sees the contestants have to make extraordinary builds that not only look amazing but can go underwater. Does LEGO sink or float? We'll find out
10. Smash and Grab / Night and Day (Elimination)
Air Date: 2020-05-17
In the penultimate episode, teams face two challenges. The first one sees them only able to use pieces from a smashed LEGO Harley-Davidson. In the second challenge, they must create a building that works in both day and night.
11. Grand Finale
Air Date: 2020-05-18
The final episode is here and it's down to our final three teams to impress not only Brickman (and host Hamish) but hundreds of kids, parents, and LEGO fans to find out who will be the ultimate LEGO Master.
1. Stop In Your Tracks
Air Date: 2021-04-19
The contest designed to push the imagination and creativity of Australia's best LEGO builders returns for a third season, and this season promises to take the competition to a whole new level. Up for grabs is the all new Platinum Brick which will give the winning team immunity from an elimination. To win it, they face a massive first challenge. Teams must create a show stopping piece that will stop a train in its tracks. They have 17 hours to complete their builds.
2. Castles and Cannonballs
Air Date: 2021-04-20
All eight teams are playing for immunity from the elimination build. They are asked to create a beautiful castle that will spectacularly explode as a bowling ball is hurled at it.
3. Snow Globe (Elimination)
Air Date: 2021-04-21
In the first elimination of the competition, teams will have 10 hours to build a world inside a snow globe.
4. Fantastical Beasts / Mission to Mars (Elimination)
Air Date: 2021-04-25
In the first of two challenges, teams are tasked with creating an entirely new creature by blending the DNA of two existing animals.
5. Hero's Quest
Air Date: 2021-04-26
Teams have 12 hours to create a build that explores the theme of the 'hero's quest'. Adventure, danger, high stakes, precious treasure and a huge journey - even a bit of magic and mystery. It's all part of the hero's quest.
6. Cut In Half (Elimination)
Air Date: 2021-04-27
The return of a classic challenge: Cut In Half! Teams choose from a range of items that have been cut in half. Their challenge is to use their imagination in creating the other half of the object from Lego.
7. Hot Air Balloon / Go Big or Go Home (Elimination)
Air Date: 2021-05-02
Teams must build something that floats, suspended from their very own hot air balloon, for a minimum of 10 seconds.
8. Four Seasons (Elimination)
Air Date: 2021-05-03
Our teams battle it out in a double elimination challenge. Four giant base plates representing summer, autumn, winter and spring will come together to show the four seasons. Teams will have eight hours to create one of the seasons.
9. Arcade Game
Air Date: 2021-05-04
Teams are tasked with creating their very own arcade game out of Lego.
10. Race / Dream Home (Elimination)
Air Date: 2021-05-09
In the first of two challenges, teams are required to build a vehicle that can race down a purpose-built track in the shortest time possible. In the second challenge, they are tasked with building their ultimate dream home.
11. Heroic Moment of Impact
Air Date: 2021-05-10
In a celebration of the Marvel cinematic universe, teams will have access to an exclusive Brick Pit and collection of Mini Fig characters for a build that needs to show a heroic moment of impact.
12. House of Colour (Elimination)
Air Date: 2021-05-11
In this challenge, each team is provided with a greyscale house. The challenge is to bring their house to life with colour. The build with the least impressive story and aesthetics will go home.
13. Out on a Limb (Elimination)
Air Date: 2021-05-16
In the penultimate episode, the four remaining teams are required to dress an empty tree branch that is connected to a life-size LEGO tree.
14. Finale
Air Date: 2021-05-17
Three teams battle it out in a 28-hour grand finale challenge as they strive to be crowned LEGO Masters and claim the $100,000 prize.
1. Drain The Ocean
Air Date: 2022-04-18
Teams are challenged to create something found at the bottom of the ocean. Their creations will be put into a large pool that will fill with water, then drain again.
2. Stuntman
Air Date: 2022-04-19
Teams have to build a stunt vehicle that has to go up a ramp and soar through a ring of fire, clear nine LEGO school buses, and explode on the ground which will be captured in slow motion.
3. Build That Tune
Air Date: 2022-04-20
Teams must create a song title out of LEGO, and make their builds clear enough that a musical mystery guest can guess what song they have built without them saying a word.
4. Car of the Future and Old is New
Air Date: 2022-04-24
The teams build a car of the future, and then turn something old into something new. The first challenge sees one team win an advantage, while the second challenge is an elimination.
5. Cut-Away
Air Date: 2022-04-25
With 10 hours on the clock, the teams' challenge is to build something set to mini-fig scale that is whole on one side and when you spin it around, reveals a build and a world that has been completely cut in half on the other side.
6. Bridge Too Far
Air Date: 2022-04-26
Teams must create a bridge that can survive two shake plates. If more than one bridge can survive all 12 levels of shaking, then aesthetics will decide the winner.
7. Dragon Race and Grandscapes
Air Date: 2022-05-01
The seven teams are challenged to build tiny dragons that are small enough to fly on a drone. The winner gets an advantage for the second build.
8. Spooktacular
Air Date: 2022-05-02
In this 'spooktacular' episode, the six remaining teams will have 10 hours to embrace their dark side and complete their spooky builds.
9. Blown Away
Air Date: 2022-05-03
Each team has 10 hours to create a build that functions from the power of a wind machine.
10. High Wire and Secret Cities
Air Date: 2022-05-08
The remaining six teams will be competing in two challenges, High Wire and Secret City, and one team will be going home.
11. Window To The Future
Air Date: 2022-05-09
Our teams are put to the test, challenged to build what their vision of the future is, but seen through the view of a window frame.
12. Beginning, Middle & End
Air Date: 2022-05-10
In the lead-up to finals week and a known elimination, teams must build their creations on a rotating baseplate, revealing a story in three different parts encompassing a beginning, middle and end.
13. Sky's The Limit
Air Date: 2022-05-15
Teams are given a LEGO cloud and have 14 hours to create something that belongs on that cloud. At the end, one team will be eliminated and the three remaining teams will compete in the final.
14. The Grand Finale
Air Date: 2022-05-16
The three remaining teams have 28 hours to build whatever they want, in order to impress Brickman and the 200 members of the public that will have their chance to vote for the winner.
1. Above and Below
Air Date: 2023-04-10
The show is bigger and grander than ever. Joining Hamish Blake and Ryan 'Brickman' McNaught are 16 returning contestants, all competing for the ultimate title of Australia's Grand Masters.
2. Waterfall
Air Date: 2023-04-11
Each of the eight teams must create a build which tells a story both as it goes over the edge of a waterfall, and as it crashes on the rocks below.
3. Greatest Lego Mystery: Real or Lego?
Air Date: 2023-04-12
It's the third and final challenge of Brick Week, where the winning team will take home the Grand Brick, granting them immunity from the first elimination.
4. Roller Coaster Car / Theme Park
Air Date: 2023-04-16
The first elimination challenge sees the contestants complete a two-part theme park challenge.
5. Up it Goes
Air Date: 2023-04-17
The teams face the most difficult technical challenge to date: to create a single build that travels vertically up a wire for six metres.
6. Conspiracy Theories
Air Date: 2023-04-18
All seven teams must create a well-known or original secret, mystery, or conspiracy theory out of LEGO.
7. Space / Great Ball Contraption
Air Date: 2023-04-23
The seven remaining teams face the hardest competition in LEGO Masters history, as they send their LEGO models to 'space' to win an advantage for the second part of the challenge and avoid elimination.
8. Disney Movie
Air Date: 2023-04-24
The six remaining teams must create an iconic scene from a Disney movie.
9. Explosion in Motion
Air Date: 2023-04-25
It's boom time for the Grand Masters with this challenge setting them to create a scene to be exploded for the camera.
10. The Heist
Air Date: 2023-04-30
The six remaining Grand Master teams are challenged with building their own portion of a city-wide Heist, taking place in mini figure scale.
11. Best of the Best
Air Date: 2023-05-01
The best challenges from the last four seasons have been selected and the remaining Grand Masters teams must each build a different challenge, competing against the winning builds from that original challenge.
12. Cliffhanger
Air Date: 2023-05-02
Teams face their own individual sheer cliff face wall made with LEGO. Their challenge is to create a vertical build that brings their cliff face base plate to life while pushing LEGO to the limits!
13. Carousel
Air Date: 2023-05-07
In the penultimate challenge of LEGO Grand Masters, each team will build one 'Jumper' that is part of a larger carousel. Final builds will be revealed on a fully functional carousel under the lights of Sydney's Luna Park.
14. Grand Finale
Air Date: 2023-05-08
In the epic LEGO Grand Masters finale, the last three teams standing will create an amazing build of their choosing. 200 members of the public, along with Brickman, will determine the ultimate winners of 'Grand Masters' 2023.
1. First Build
Air Date: 2024-04-14
This season, four Australian teams face four seasoned LEGO Masters teams from around the world. In this first build, teams are challenged to build a LEGO model strong enough to break through a sheet of ice.
2. Go-Karts
Air Date: 2024-04-15
In this episode, teams are paired together in groups of four to design and build the exterior of a real-life go-kart before taking them to the track for an adrenaline-fuelled race to the finish line.
3. Fairytales
Air Date: 2024-04-16
In the third episode of LEGO Masters, the teams are faced with the first elimination challenge of the season whilst building a classic fairy tale with a genre twist.
4. Real or Lego?
Air Date: 2024-04-21
In this episode of LEGO Masters, teams are faced with a back-to-back elimination as they try to perfectly replicate a real object out of LEGO.
5. Battle Bots
Air Date: 2024-04-22
In the fifth episode of LEGO Masters, teams are tasked with building a fighting robot, or brickbot, that must do battle against the other teams in the Brickbot Arena.
6. What's in Store?
Air Date: 2024-04-23
At the halfway point of the series, LEGO Masters is teaming up with K-Mart and creating teams of four to build a visual spectacular that will be displayed in a real-life K-Mart Store!
7. It's Showtime
Air Date: 2024-04-28
In the seventh episode of LEGO Masters, teams are given a hollow vintage tv which they must fill with a recognizable TV show. Surprise guest, Sophie Monk, tries her luck at identifying the shows without any hints.
8. Whose New Sport Is Games Ready?
Air Date: 2024-04-29
The LEGO Masters teams help Hamish pitch brand new sports to be included in the Olympic Games by building visual representations of the wacky new Olympic sports!
9. Supersized
Air Date: 2024-04-30
In episode nine of LEGO Masters, teams are each given a base plate representing a typical room in a house and must build minifigures living in the land of the giants surrounded by and using life-size items found around the home.
10. Superhero Sunday
Air Date: 2024-05-05
In the tenth episode, LEGO Masters teams are challenged with creating iconic vehicles for some of Batman's greatest foes to earn a spot into the Semi Finals.
11. Blockbuster Semifinal
Air Date: 2024-05-06
The final four teams battle it out in the LEGO Masters Semi Finals as they bring to life their own floating 'Lily Pad', featuring a specific colour palette, to earn a place in the Grand Final.
12. Grand Finale
Air Date: 2024-05-07
In the Grand Final, the final three teams create amazing builds of their choosing. 200 members of the public, along with Brickman, will determine the ultimate winners of LEGO Masters 2024.
