Bug Juice

Bug Juice is a Disney Channel reality series that premiered on February 28, 1998. The series focuses around 20 kids and their experiences at summer camp. Together, the kids work hard to excel in their activities and become friends. The phrase bug juice is a camping slang term for a very sweet juice drink made from powdered mixes, such as Kool-Aid. Bug juice is often served at summer camps.

1. Camp Waziyatah

Campers arrive at Camp Waziyatah in Waterford, Maine. Old friends reunite while first year campers settle in.

2. Getting to Know You

Air Date: 1998-02-28

Orientation tour. Jason and Lauren are afraid to swim. Megan is homesick after reading a letter from her father. Kisha pretends she is going out with Hassan to get back at Jenny. Jenny found out about it and forgave Kisha.

3. To Clique... Or Not to Clique

Air Date: 1998-03-08

Asa and Malik feel left out; Sarai and Stephanie both like Connor. The girls try to get used to living with others; Rhett worries the campers who came with friends won't welcome others into their friendship

4. Adventure Bound: Bushwacked

Air Date: 1998-03-15

Nina, the Adventure-Bound program coordinator takes Grove 4 and Hill 4 on a bushwacking trip that causes cooperation problems for the kids.

5. Molecules Colliding

Air Date: 1998-03-22

The first Waziyatah dance sparks romance between campers Stephanie and Connor, and the friendship between Jason and Alison might be developing into something closer. Also, Grove 4 makes a video.

6. Boys to Men

Air Date: 1998-03-29

Talent show; Waziyatah's boys' basketball team; creative writing class.

7. Face the Fire: Unity Campfire

Air Date: 1998-05-03

Grove 4 gets in trouble by Peanut for playing outside during a thunderstorm. Grove 4 and Hill 4 plan a 'Unity Campfire' together. Caitlin wants to leave camp.

8. Aftershocks

Air Date: 1998-05-03

It's Visiting Day at Camp Waziyatah. The campers' families visit Wazi to see what their camper learned so far and to see how they're doing. Visiting Day also gives the campers a chance to go into town and buy candy and junk food and sneak them in their cabin! Sarai and Kisha quarrel and Luna confronts Sarai about her attitude.

9. No Pain, No Gain

Air Date: 1998-05-03

Asa gets confronted about his attitude by his cabin and learns a lesson. Hill 4 undertakes another Adventure Bound trip and Alison and Jenny refuse to go. Martha makes a bet with Fiona, that if she doesn't complain the whole mountain trip, Fiona has to ride a horse. Martha wins the bet and Fiona ends up riding a horse.

10. Nice Guys Finish First

Air Date: 1998-05-03

Andrew gets the lead in the Waziyatah musical play; Connor and Stephanie break-up knowing that Connor will have to leave when session 1 ends in the next few days.

11. Good-Bye Session One

Air Date: 1998-05-10

As the end of Session A nears, campers are separated into teams and compete against each other in a series of fun competitions and activities on Challenge Day. There is also an awards banquet where everyone dresses up in nice clothes and campers receive awards from different departments. Session A campers leave. They all realize how many friends they have made at camp and many tears are shed.

12. CH-CH-Change

New campers arrive for second session and some old campers are having trouble getting along with them, particularly Grove 4.

13. Turn, Turn, Turn

Air Date: 1998-06-07

Sarai is homesick and misses the old campers. She says her good-byes, leaves camp, and heads home. Meanwhile, campers attend aerobics class and talent show planning begins. Kisha makes a video of her and Sarai and shows it to everyone at the talent show. Cammie and Greg (counselor) are Spartan cheerleaders, Arianna and Craig from Saturday Night Live and they put on a funny act. Grove 4 dances to ""Pop Muzik"" in their own hilarious way.

14. When the Boys Go Away, the Girls Will Play

Air Date: 1998-06-14

Grove 4 embarks on an overnight camping trip bringing them closer together. Meanwhile, Hill 4 has pillow fights and Annie, Cammie, and Sarah join the girls' basketball team.

15. We Shall Overcome: Caitlin and Malik Conquer Camp

Air Date: 1998-06-21

Malik passes his swimming test and gets up on two skies by the help of one of his counselors, Rhett. Caitlin overcomes her fears and rock climbs on and adventure bound trip with Hill 4.

16. Flirting with Disaster: The Co-Ed Canoe Trip

Air Date: 1998-06-28

Grove 4 and Hill 4 go on a canoe trip, which causes major flirtations and love triangles between some campers. Cammie likes Malik, but she's dating Gus, Sarah and Stephanie both like Andy who only has a crush on Stephanie, and Anna really likes Hassan who doesn't like her back in that way.

17. The Last Hurrah

The campers compete for the Armstrong Cup Competition where the campers are all divided into four teams: North, South, East, and West. They compete against each other in fun activities for two days. They also have an awards banquet where the counselors and staff have out awards.

18. So Long, Farewell

19. Goodbye Wazi

Everyone leaves Camp Waziyatah. Many tears are shed once again as they all say good-bye. To them, it was one of the fastest summers ever! No one wants to leave. They all have made such great friends over the summer and they hope to keep in touch with each other. The bonds are definetly much stronger now than in the beginning of the session.
